Program Application
To apply to a concentration (Fine Arts Focus, iCAN, Sports Excellence) or IB Program:
There two different application procedures, depending on your child’s current grade level. The process to apply for secondary 1 begins in mid-September of their grade 6 school year. For the 2025-2026 school year, applications are open until October 11th 2024 with try-outs and auditions in October. Click here to access the application form.
For students who wish to apply to a program for secondary 2 to 5, the deadline to apply is March 31st, for the following school year. To apply, please contact a program coordinator below to obtain a registration form and application requirements. The Application deadline is March 31st and try-outs/auditions are held in April and May depending on the discipline.

Sport Excellence Athletic Evaluations for 2025-2026
Basketball: Thursday, October 17th in Heritage Regional High School’s gymnasiums. Please arrive at 10h30. The practice session will last an hour to an hour and a half depending on the number of students present. Please ensure your child has a water bottle.
Hockey: Thursday, October 17th from 14h00 to 16h00 at Arena Rosanne Laflamme (located beside Heritage at 7405 Terrasse du Centre, Saint-Hubert). Please ensure your child has a water bottle. If needed, we will have a second session on Friday, October 18th from 13h00 to 15h00.
Soccer: Friday, October 18th from 9h30 to 11h30 on the synthetic soccer field located behind Heritage. Please ensure your child has the required outdoor soccer clothing and a water bottle.
Swimming: Thursday, October 17th from 15h45 to 16h15 at the Rosanne Laflamme Pool (located beside Heritage at 7405 Terrasse du Centre, Saint-Hubert). Please ensure your child is an experienced swimmer, capable of performing the main swimming strokes. Students will need bathing caps and personal water bottles for the evaluation.
Track and Field: Tuesday, October 22nd at 16h15. Please meet on the track behind the school. Please note students will be asked to take part in jumps, sprints and run an 800 meter (2 laps of a standard track). The majority of the evaluation will take place outdoors. Please ensure your child has a water bottle.
Gymnastics: To be announced.
Fine Arts Focus Auditions for 2025-26: Dates not available yet.
Please note, you can only apply to two FAF disciplines.Â
FAF Dance: Auditions will take place on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, from 13h00 to 15h00. Applicants are asked to arrive in the Heritage Regional
High School’s Main Foyer by 12h50 to check-in. Â
FAF Drama: Auditions will take place on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, from 9h00 to 12h00 by appointment. A FAF Coordinator will email parents with
the time of their child’s audition 48 hours prior to the audition date. Applicants are asked to arrive in the Heritage Regional High
School’s Main Foyer by 10 minutes early to check-in.

FAF Visual Arts:Â The drawing test and interview will take place on Friday, October 18th, 2024 from 9h30 – 12h00. Applicants are asked to arrive in the
Heritage Regional High School’s Main Foyer by 9:20 am to check-in.  The digital portfolio portion of the application needs to be

ICAN ‘Get to know you’ Questionnaire 2025-26
All ICAN applicants will be asked to come in person to meet the coordinators and fill in a Technology questionnaire (this is not a test). The questionnaire will be used to help us know the applicants and their exposure and comfort using technology.
Date: October 17th, or 18th, 2024 (Your choice)
Time: 10:45 (We will meet you in the Main Foyer)
Candidates are asked to arrive at 10h45 in the Main Foyer of Heritage Regional High School to check-in. Meeting and questionnaire will take place in rooms A 205 and A 207 .
Duration: 1 hour
International Baccalaureate Requirements 2025-2026
All applicants for the IB (International Baccalaureate) programme will need to follow a specific registration process. Here’s a guide on how to complete the application. This can also be found on the IB program page.
Step 1: Submit Grade 5 Report Card Begin your application by submitting your Grade 5 report card as proof of your academic history. This document will help the admissions committee assess your academic readiness for the IB programme. Submit this to Tammy Cree (tcree@rsb.qc.ca)
Step 2: Choose only one of the options below to submit with your application. Submissions must be sent to Tammy Cree (tcree@rsb.qc.ca) by October 17, 2024 (4:00 pm).
Option A) Submit an Artifact about Service as Action (Community Service): If you choose this option, gather an artifact that represents a community service project you’ve been involved in over the last couple of years. This could be a photo, video, presentation, or any tangible item that showcases your commitment to service as action. In your one-page response, explain the significance of the artifact, your role in the project, and how it reflects your dedication to community service. Please send the PDF, video or PowerPoint to Tammy Cree (tcree@rsb.qc.ca).
Option B) Explain Your “Why” for Entering the IB Programme: In this option, you should articulate your motivations for wanting to join the IB programme. Your one-page response should discuss how the IB programme is a good fit for you. Please send the PDF of your response to Tammy Cree (tcree@rsb.qc.ca).
Option C) Choose a Learner Profile Trait: Select one of the Learner Profile traits (Reflective, Principled, Inquirers, or Open-minded) and explain how you either possess this trait already or aspire to improve it. Use specific examples from your past experiences to demonstrate your connection to the chosen trait. Discuss how developing or strengthening this trait will contribute to your success in the IB programme and beyond. Please send the PDF of your response to Tammy Cree (tcree@rsb.qc.ca).
